The Bill Nelems Pain & Research Centre offers online classes in pain education and pain management for people with pain to learn about chronic pain physiology and tools for effective self-management.
Online Pain Education Classes include the foundational program Empowered Relief, available for all patients. Other classes include our Monday night webinars on important topics such as sleep, nutrition and safe movement, mindfulness and relaxation, cognitive behavioural therapy, and emotional freedom for pain management.
All classes have been shown to reduce pain suffering and enhance recovery. Learning about why pain persists and what you can do about it is essential to managing and healing chronic pain.
The Bill Nelems Centre also provides Psychological Support Services for Chronic Pain Management, in collaboration with UBC-O
